It's been almost a year since the deforestation in Boynton Park. I remember being extremely angry those summer days, hearing the unblockable roar of chainsaws and bulldozers for 30+ days. I've continued walking in The Clearing since and I must say it has provided for some brilliant polaroids, compositions, and other ideas for paintings. I'm thinking of starting some paintings based off of this space, in memory of the trees, dear friends that once stood there, and to capture a moment of the every changing landscape in time.
